Delta7 neurons in ants and bees - a circuit analysis

Felicia will reconstruct all delta7 neurons in the nocturnal sweat bee Megalopta genalis and the army ant Eciton hamatum based on image data obtained by block-face serial section electron microscopy. This will comprise projectome level work as well as connectome level analsysis in part of the protocerebal bridge. Additionally, full morphologies of neurons of this type will be obtained by injecting neurobiotin via intracellular dye injections.
